Old Chickahominy House: Delightful Southern Breakfast & Brunch in Williamsburg

It definitely is a unique older place. The gift shop has many handmade items. The food was solid but not incredible. The dumplings had a good portions of chicken. Other folks like the bbq pulled pork. The biscuits where not your usual biscuits, but more flat. The Virginia shaved ham was salty and pleasant.

Lovely little place. Went there on trips as a child 30+ years ago. It is exactly how I remember it. Excellent true southern food. The breakfast sampler is a delight! Stevie the cat is the icing on the cake. The owners and shop staff are beyond kind and friendly. Thank you for staying the same place I loved growing up!

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Absolutely wonderful staff from the moment they opened the doors. My husband and I were visiting Williamsburg for the weekend and were absolutely blown away with how quick, attentive and friendly the staff were. The Old Chickahominy breakfast is quite possibly one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had and the pancakes with blueberry compote were perfect. Not to mention there’s a great gift shop with very reasonably priced, gorgeous items. We’ll 100% be back next time!

We waited just a few minutes to be seated, which gave us the perfect excuse to browse their charming gift shop—truly one of the best parts of the experience. It’s full of locally made treasures and quirky finds, including a one-of-a-kind chandelier made from cake stands and teacups hanging along the edges. The food was phenomenal—no wonder this place is so beloved! We missed their breakfast service this time, but we’re already planning to come back. Can’t wait for round two! And of course, you will be greeted by their lovely cat named !!!

A true diamond in the rough. Stumbled on this restaurant by accident and sure glad I did. The building looks like an old farmhouse and blends into the area. We were looking for a place to eat. While driving by we just happened to see it. We were very fortunate to get the table in the first lunch seating. We learned for future reference reservations are highly recommended. The food and service were outstanding. I don't have anything bad to say about our experience. If in the area I highly recommend giving it a try.

We had lunch here between visiting Jamestown in the morning and Williamsburg in the afternoon. Charming building, nice gift shop. The service was fast and our drinks were never empty. Food was absolutely delicious (don’t miss the ham biscuits!). **in picture - my sister had already started on the fruit salad. The presentation is much prettier . Would definitely stop here again when back in the area!

This place is as charming as it gets! They have a great gift shop that’s home to an adorable cat that I got to pet. The owners were so friendly and it’s clear they love their customers. The atmosphere was homey and the pancakes were to die for. I would recommend this place to anyone

Going back to Old Chickahominy House for a wonderful taste of years ago. Which we cherish. The food is good and there is a good variety. The wait staff is always on top of it, providing quick friendly. And I enjoy the gift shop. service.
